Teeth whitening can restore your smile.

Before moving ahead with any cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening, we must make sure there is both a healthy foundation of teeth and gums. In the event that you are experiencing any oral health issues, our team will work to provide general and restorative dentistry treatments first.

The best teeth whitening candidates should:

Be at least sixteen years old
Not be pregnant or breastfeeding
Not be allergic to peroxide, the most commonly used bleaching agent in chairside and take-home whitening formulas
Be free from periodontal (gum) disease, as whitening could irritate the gums
Have no current cavities or exposed roots due to disease or decay

KöR Whitening

At Hope Dental we use the KöR Whitening System to brighten our patient’s smiles. We chose KöR not only for its reputation of exceptional whitening but also because there are no chemical stabilizers in KöR so our patients typically have less issues with sensitivity than with other systems.

Take Home System

At Hope Dental we also offer our patients the convenience of whitening their teeth in the privacy of their own home. We provide custom made trays that are used nightly until the level of whitening is achieved.

Questions & Answers

Can I get my teeth whitened?

Most people are candidates for teeth whitening but a healthy set of teeth and gums are required before the whitening process can begin. Book your consultation and let us examine if you are a candidate or what needs to be done in order to begin the whitening process.

Can whitening your teeth cause sensitivity?

Sometimes. But sensitivity from tooth whitening is always transient. That means if there is any sensitivity caused by the whitening, it goes away within one to two days after the treatment.

How long does teeth whitening last?

Whitening lasts for different lengths of time for different people, dependent in part on what you eat and drink. Food and drinks with deep colors such as coffee and wine may lessen the time your whitening will last. We sell tubes of whitening gel for touch ups should that happen.

Is teeth whitening safe?

When done properly and under the supervision of a qualified dentist, teeth whitening is generally safe. Over whitening can sometimes cause damage to the teeth. Teeth can be sensitive to whitening which is why we use KöR Whitening System, known for its gentleness.

Does teeth whitening lighten crowns, veneers or fillings?

Unfortunately, if you have fillings, crowns or veneers they will not change color and may stand out if other teeth are whitened.

Is teeth whitening toxic?

When carried out by a registered dental professional, federal guidelines state that teeth whitening is perfectly safe. If you are planning on using take-home options, please make sure to talk with your dentist and follow all instructions.

How much does teeth whitening cost?
